Punjab cabinet relaxes age limit in recruitment rulesĀ

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over the 14th meeting of the provincial cabinet on Thursday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The meeting decided to relax the age limit for the children of martyred police personnel in recruitment rules. It also decided to dissolve all market committees across the province.

The chief minister directed provincial ministers to visit charities, jails and hospitals on Eid holidays to share greetings with the needy and the destitute to remove their sense of deprivation.

The meeting gave approval for the transfer of administrative control of Shalamar Bagh, Qutbuddin Aibak Minar, Shahdara Complex, and tombs of Jahangir, Noor Jehan and Asif Jah to the Walled City of Lahore Authority.

It approved giving management of the Shahi Fort to the City of Lahore Authority. The cabinet approved funds for health facilities in Lahore and the affiliation of Sargodha Medical College and Nawaz Sharif Medical College with Gujarat University of Health Sciences, the formation of a technical committee of Punjab Agriculture Food and Drug Authority and the appointment of Bilal Feroze as Chief Executive Officer of Lahore Reparking Company, the appointment of Javed Badar as Chairman of Punjab Revenue Authority

IGP Usman Anwar briefed the meeting about security steps to ensure law and order on Eid. Additional police have been deployed at bazaars, markets, shopping centres and other public places.
