The K-Electric (KE) on Thursday filed a petition in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra), demanding a Rs4.49 per unit increase in the electricity tariff on account of monthly fuel cost adjustment for March, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Nepra will conduct hearing on the petition on May 3 next.
It is worth mentioning here that the K-Electric consumers will have to bear an additional burden of about Rs6.63 billion if the power tariff is increased as demanded.
