Bank deposits reached Rs37,595 billion after an increase of 2.50 percent on a month-on-month (MoM) and 18.60 percent on an annual (YoY) basis till March 2026, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Monday.
According to statistics released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), bank deposits reached an all-time high of Rs37,430 billion during December 2025.
State Bank of Pakistan further revealed that an increase of Rs919 billion was recorded during one month.
State Bank of Pakistan recorded an increase of Rs5879 billion in bank deposits till March 2026. The record of high bank deposits was witnessed in the year 2025.
Economic experts said that bank deposits were affected before 2025 due to the imposition of ADR. They further said that an increase of 10 to 15 percent is expected in the year 2026.
