Upholding the verdict given by the CCP against Kingdom Valley, a tribunal in Islamabad on Monday ordered the housing society owner to pay Rs35 million in fine for misguiding the buyers about the project’s site as well as its approval, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The tribunal said in its verdict that despite the fact that the project was located in Rawalpindi, it was shown to be in Islamabad.
The tribunal further said that the housing society owner started claiming that the society had been issued an NOC even before it was issued.
The verdict read that advertisements were placed in newspapers prior to their approval, which proved the element of deception.
The tribunal observed that the publication of misleading advertisements in real estate sector could be extremely damaging for the buyers.
