The machinery imports in July 2023 were recorded to be 20% more than the imports in June in the ongoing year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to a report released by the statistics bureau, the machinery imports in June 2023 were recorded to be $410million whereas the amount increased to $493million in July.
The import of power generation machineries in July was recorded to be at $280million which dropped by 15% as compared to the import in June. The import of textile machinery in July increased by 25 percent at $140million as compared to that in June. Construction and mining machinery imports in July increased by 50% to $4 million as compared to June whereas imports of electric machinery and apparatus increased by 48% to $174 million. The import of mobile phones in July of 2023 increased by 27% as compared to June at $680million.
