Pakistani airlines may face fines for delayed Umrah flights, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Saudi Aviation General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) sent strong letter to DG Civil Aviation Authority Pakistan.

According to international laws, the on-time arrival rate of flights should be up to 80 percent, text of letter said.

The text of letter said Pakistani airlines' on-time arrival rate is only 37 to 69 percent.

The situation should be corrected immediately, otherwise fines will also be imposed, warned in letter.

According to text of letter, PIA's rate is 69 percent, AirSial 46 percent, AirBlue 65 percent, FlyJinnah 43 percent and SereneAir 37 percent.

Pakistani airlines are facing serious difficulties due to delays.

The President of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation has written the letter to the DG CAA.
