Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says government will provide every possible assistance in the establishment of Special Economic Zones in the country.
He was talking to the delegation of Chinese Company Shandong Xinxu Group Corporation, led by Chairman Hou Jianxin, which called on him in Islamabad today. The Prime Minister invited Chinese industries for investment as Pakistan wants to take economic ties with China to new heights. He further said that both countries have stood by each other in every difficult time.
He said that there is an immense potential in shipbreaking and ship recycling sectors of Pakistan. On this occasion, the Prime Minister was informed that Shandong is interested in setting up maritime industrial complex in Pakistan.
It was briefed that Chinese company Shandong to build green shipbreaking yard in Pakistan and it also wants to take advantage of country's potential in fishing, fish processing and date processing.
On his part, Chairman of Chinese company Shandong Hou Jianxin extended gratitude to the Prime Minister for providing facilities by the Government of Pakistan. Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Advisor to the Prime Minister Touqeer Shah and relevant officials were also present on this occasion.
