Lahore Motorway M-2 Tuesday was shut down due to fog situations along with Lahore Multan and Lahore Sialkot Motorway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Lahore M-2 motorway was shut down for the public from Lahore to Kot Sarwar due to severe fog situations.
The Lahore-Multan Motorway section from Faizpur to Samundri was closed along with the Lahore Sialkot M-11 Motorway.
A Motorway Police spokesperson stated that the Motorways are closed to ensure public safety and prevention of accidents in such situations.
The Motorway Police advised the usage of fog lights on both the front and back of the car and also advised to avoid unnecessary traveling.
Refraining from overspeeding and maintenance of a safe distance from the car ahead was also recommended to road users.
The motorway police said that road users can and should contact Helpline 130 for information and assistance and they can also use the Motorway Police “Humsafar” mobile application for assistance and information.
