Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar on Sunday met Federal Minister Moonis Elahi in a ceremony at the residence of Brig (r) Ijaz Shah, Federal Minister for Narcotics Control, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the occasion, Ch Sarwar discussed with PML-Q’s Moonis Elahi about strengthening his party alliance with the PTI government. At this, Moonis Elahi informed the governor that Parvez Elahi, Speaker of Punjab Assembly, had been empowered by the party to take all decisions.

The governor, however, affirmed that allies stood by the PTI government as they had always expressed their determination to support the government.

Brig (r) Ijaz Shah said that the opposition would not succeed in its negative aims. Ghulam Sarwar Khan said the opposition would face defeat that time too.

Meanwhile, leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) put their heads together to take stock of the ongoing political situation in the country.

They said that people were already faced with rising inflation and an increase in the prices of electricity and petroleum products were adding to their problems. “Delay in solution to public problems causes troubles in political affairs,” they stated. “The government’s allies are also answerable to the people of their constituencies,” they added.
