Indian captain Rohit Sharma stormed his way to yet another milestone, as the 'Hitman' became the 2nd fastest Indian to reach 11000 ODI runs.
The Indian skipper reached the feat within 261 innings, and sit behind Virat Kohli, who achieved the feat within 222 innings.
Rohit Sharma is now only the fourth Indian batsman ever to score 11,000 runs, joining the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Sourav Ganguly.
The feat also brings Sharma into the top 10 highest run-getters in ODIs.
Star India batsman Sachin Tendulkar currently holds the record for scoring the most runs in the ODI. Sachin Tendulkar tops the table with 18,426 runs as he has amassed in 463 ODI matches (452 innings) to date. The India batter has slammed 49 Century and 96 fifties in the ODI and aggregated runs consistently at a healthy average of 44.83.
