AI-based monitoring shows growing awareness about safety rules among motorcyclists

The City Traffic Police Lahore has recorded over 26 million motorcycle movements across the provincial capital during the past 15 days through its AI-based traffic monitoring system, reflecting improved road discipline among commuters.

According to official data, an impressive 98.68 percent helmet compliance rate was observed throughout the city, indicating growing awareness among motorcyclists regarding road safety regulations.

The analysis of 6.2 million vehicle movements further revealed only 1,466 one-way violations, accounting for just 0.023 percent of the total monitored traffic. Authorities have taken strict action against such violations, with vehicles and motorcycles involved in one-way driving being seized.

Traffic officials have urged citizens to strictly avoid one-way driving as well as fast and reckless driving to ensure public safety on roads.

The City Traffic Police Lahore reiterated its commitment to establishing a safe, organized and technology-driven traffic system in the city under the vision of promoting responsible road use.

Officials emphasized that ensuring a safer Lahore requires collective efforts, calling on citizens to demonstrate responsibility while commuting to support a secure urban traffic environment.
