The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Cell Islamabad conducted a major operation in the federal capital, recovering goods worth crores of rupees from a residence located in a private housing society.
According to FIA officials, thousands of dental implants valued at approximately Rs250 million were seized during the raid. The agency stated that the implants were being manufactured illegally without proper authorization.
Officials further revealed that the manufacturing facility was operating without mandatory registration for the production of medical devices, in clear violation of regulatory requirements.
All confiscated items have been handed over to the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) for further legal and technical proceedings.
The FIA said a case is being registered against the accused individuals involved in the illegal activity. Authorities described the action as the first raid of its kind in the country’s history targeting the unlawful manufacturing of dental implants.
