NA session summoned on March 3 for key legislation

The government has decided to convene a session of the National Assembly of Pakistan on March 3, marking the first sitting of the new parliamentary year, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

In a formal step to convene the lower house, the Prime Minister's office has forwarded a summary to the President for approval, as required by the constitution.

Once approved, the session will officially be summoned.

According to sources, the upcoming session is expected to focus on significant legislative business, with the government preparing to introduce and deliberate on important bills.

Lawmakers are likely to engage in detailed discussions on policy matters and pending legislative agenda items aimed at advancing the government’s priorities for the year ahead.

Sources further revealed that the session will continue for two weeks, providing ample time for debate, lawmaking, and parliamentary oversight.
