As many as 12 people were rescued after a massive fire broke out in Haleem Shopping Plaza in Quetta at 4 am on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The shopping plaza is located at Prince Road which is one of Quetta’s busiest commercial areas, resulting in dozens of shops being gutted.
According to rescue officials, six fire brigade vehicles and four vehicles of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) were present at the scene. However, the blaze has not yet been brought fully under control.
PDMA officials stated that fireballs were being used to control the intense flames, while dense smoke and the severity of the fire were causing significant difficulties for rescue teams.
