Barrister Gohar urges judiciary to hear PTI cases

PTI chairman Barrister Gohar has said that PTI delegation wanted to meet Chief Justice of Pakistan today but despite three hours wait, PTI was told that the CJP Justice Yahyha Afridi was busy, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

Talking to media at DHA checkpoint near Adiala Jail on Tuesday, Barrister Gohar said that meetings with PTI founder was their constitutional and legal right. 

He said that Imran Khan’s three sisters will meet PTI founder and the rest of the people come here to express solidarity. Gohar said that no allegations should be made against the PTI government in KP. 

Barrister Gohar advised the KP government not do such things that will lead to accusations. He said those who make accusations against KP government were requested to bring evidence. Barrister Gohar said that Imran Khan and Bushra were sentenced in Al-Qadir on January 17, 2025 but appeal against the decision was not being heard till now. Gohar said that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have not been granted bail for a year. 

He requested the judiciary to ensure that people get justice at their doorstep. Barrister Gohar said, “When the doors of justice are closed, people take the law into their own hands. In the absence of justice, people resort to lynching and warlordism”. 

He questioned for how long will you wait for Superman and Wonder Boys? Bushra Bibi has no charges of corruption, why was she punished? 

He said, “PTI was clear that if there is any backdoor contact, we will not hide it”. PTI leader Salman Akram Raja said that deny meeting rights the families of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi was serious violation of law. He said the public was being denied the right to know about the updates regarding Imran Khan. Slaman Raja said that era of oppression and cruelty will not last long. He said that PTI always demanded the restoration of law. PTI leader Sheharyar Afridi said that his leader always fought for the right and opposed injustices.

He said PTI always raised voice for rule of law. Afridi said during February 2024 general elections, PTI had obtained two third majority in the country.
