In preparation for the upcoming Senate elections, the federal cabinet has approved the deployment of the Federal Constabulary Force at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, according to official sources.
Following a request from the Election Commission, the Ministry of Interior issued directives for the deployment to ensure foolproof security during the electoral process. The Federal Constabulary will serve as a quick response force and will also be stationed outside the Provincial Assembly to maintain law and order.
The KP Assembly’s Jirga Hall has officially been designated as the polling station for the Senate elections, scheduled to begin at 11:00 am. A total of 11 Senate seats are up for grabs in this crucial round of voting.
