Two young children lost their lives, while their mother and teenage sister sustained serious injuries after the roof of a room of their house collapsed in the Kalu Dheri area of Rustam in Mardan early Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Rescue 1122, emergency medical teams responded promptly to the incident and shifted the injured victims to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) Hospital for treatment.
The deceased children have been identified as 2-year-old Muhammad Hussain and year-old Zunera.
The injured included the children's mother and their 14-year-old sister, who suffered serious injuries in the collapse.
The cause of the roof collapse was not immediately known.
