AJK Election Commissioner visits polling stations, reviews arrangements

Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice ® Ghulam Mustafa Mughal visited different polling stations to review polling arrangements on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The polling process in eight districts is underway peacefully, and people are using their right to vote in the first phase of the elections.

Talking on the occasion, the Chief Election Commissioner assured that general elections will be held on July 27, 2026, in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

The Elections Commission finalized all the arrangements in this regard.

Police, Frontier Constabulary (FC), and other law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) are performing their duties in a professional manner.

Earlier, the Election Commission had directed all District Returning Officers (DROs), Returning Officers (ROs), district administrations, and other relevant institutions to make comprehensive arrangements for the transparent, orderly, and timely conduct of the employees’ polling process.

The Commission emphasized that all necessary measures should be completed in advance to ensure that election personnel can cast their votes without any inconvenience.

Election officials assigned polling duties have been instructed to report to the designated polling centres on the specified date and time and to strictly comply with all instructions issued by the Election Commission regarding the voting process, the sources added.
