Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and Lake City Holdings on Saturday signed a landmark MoU to support underserved students through the Gohar Ejaz Scholarship Fund, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ejaz shared his vision for Pakistan’s future, underscoring the transformative power of education. “The path towards the development of Pakistan lies in education,” he remarked. “I believe that we can become not just the fifth largest population in the world, but the fifth largest economy.”
Dr. Ejaz emphasised the collective responsibility of the business community to invest in the nation’s youth and ensure that financial barriers do not prevent deserving students from quality education.
Welcoming the Lake City team, Mr. Shahid Hussain, Rector, LUMS, expressed his gratitude for Dr. Ejaz’s generosity and highlighted the University’s ongoing commitment to national inclusion. “The National Outreach Programme brings together students from every corner of Pakistan.
Students come from over 160 cities, towns and villages. The NOP plays a role not only in giving good quality education, but also in national integration,” he said.
