The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Special Advisory Committee approved the syllabus of the PhD Nursing Programme to enable nurses to become doctors, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, twenty seats will be available in the first batch. Securing 75 percent marks is mandatory to qualify for the entry test.
The advertisement for admission in the PhD Nursing Program will be released during the first week of July 2026. The purpose of this nursing program is to enhance the teaching, research, and leadership qualities of nurses.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore, said that the health department needs expert nurses.
Director-General Nursing Punjab Tahira Parveen said that new doors will be opened for higher education in the nursing sector.
