Minister for Pakistan Railways Hanif Abbasi chaired a meeting of mechanical staff from all Railways Divisions to address summer-related locomotive and coach issues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the staff and fieldworkers, Abbasi directed mechanical staff that all available resources should be utilized to stabilize the railway system during the summer.
He emphasized that AC malfunctions and locomotive failures must be prevented so that passengers should not face inconvenience during their journey.
Railways Minister strictly instructed all staff and officials to take their responsibilities seriously and immediately rectify any shortcomings. In case of negligence, strict action will be taken against the concerned persons
Abbasi reaffirmed that his goal to make the railways modern and more reliable for passengers. He said all possible support will be extended to improve service quality for passengers’ satisfaction.
