Ex-Police SP gets death sentence in Senate employee’s murder case

District and Sessions Courts Islamabad awarded death sentence to former Islamabad Police SP Arif Hussain Shah and to death and life imprisonment to his co-accused Sabir Shah and Saqlain in the murder case of Hamza Khan, an employee of Senate. 

According to FIR, convict Arif Shah had concealed the body of the victim in the garden after his gruesome murder. 

Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka announced the verdict in the murder case. The court announced the verdict after the completion of the final examination. The prosecution presented 17 witnesses in the case. The police nominated a total of 3 accused. More than 40 hearings were held in the case.

According to the prosecution, convict Arif Shah had first kidnapped the deceased Hamza Khan and then killed him. During the investigation, the deceased's body was found in Arif Shah's ancestral house in Mansehra. The body of the deceased Hamza Khan was buried in the garden. A case of Hamza Khan's murder has been registered in Aabpara police station.
