The Higher Education Commission (HEC) received 750 applications submitted for the post of chairman, but only the short-listed candidates will be called for interview, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources said that the scrutiny process of the eligible candidates is currently under way. The interview process will start next week.
Appointment for the Higher Education Commission (HEC) chairman has been delayed following a technical failure in the National Information Technology Board’s (NITB) job portal.
An advertisement was published in July for the appointment of HEC chairman.
