In a major operation, the FIA NCB Interpol has arrested a proclaimed offender involved in a woman’s murder from Saudi Arabia and brought him back to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.
According to FIA officials, the suspect, Abdul Razzaq, had killed a woman last year in Gujranwala and fled abroad to evade arrest.
Following the incident, a case was registered at Soudran Police Station under murder charges, and the suspect was declared a proclaimed offender.
The FIA NCB Interpol had issued a red notice for Abdul Razzaq’s arrest, leading to his detention in Saudi Arabia.
He was brought to Islamabad Airport and later handed over to the Punjab Police by the FIA Immigration authorities for further legal proceedings.
