In a move to provide modern facilities and enhance passenger convenience, the Pakistan Airports Authority has decided to install automated teller machines (ATMs) at airports across the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.
According to airport sources, the authority has invited various banks to set up ATMs at major airports, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, and Multan, as well as Peshawar, Quetta, Sukkur, Gwadar, Skardu, and Gilgit.
Sources said that agreements with multiple banks are currently under consideration to facilitate currency withdrawal and financial transactions for both domestic and international passengers.
The Pakistan Airports Authority has also initiated a feasibility study to determine the most suitable locations for ATM installations and ensure uninterrupted service at all times, the sources added.
