The couple, who legally wed in July at Hackney Town Hall in London, exchanged vows once more in a romantic Italian setting on Friday.
The pair’s second ceremony brought together a starry guest list, including Daniel’s bandmate Matty Healy and his fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel, Troye Sivan, Julia Fox, Caroline Polachek, and Robyn. Other notable names at the celebration included Jeremy O. Harris, Yung Lean, A.G. Cook, and Aidan Zamiri.
Charli, born Charlotte Aitchison, highlighted the special occasion by sharing snapshots on Instagram with the caption: “i love my friendsssssssssss pt 1.” Her guests echoed the joy in the comments, with Julia Fox writing, “We love you more ❤️,” and Polachek adding, “Heart exploded forever.”
For the Sicilian ceremony, the Brat hitmaker wore a stunning custom Danielle Frankel gown featuring a bias-cut ivory silk chiffon slip with delicate straps and an elongated train. The intricate design included cascading chiffon ribbons, hand-embroidered organza petals, and baroque pearls. Frankel described the gown as a piece that combined modern elegance with romantic detail.
Ahead of the celebration, Charli shared glimpses of the festivities, including nights out with friends in Sicily and a video of her and Daniel dancing in an ornate ballroom. She captioned one post simply, “bellaaaaaaaaaaaaa.”
The Italian wedding came nearly two months after their intimate London ceremony on July 19, where Charli wore a chic off-the-shoulder midi dress with a tulle veil, later swapping tradition for a pair of black sunglasses. At that event, only close family and Daniel’s bandmates (minus Healy) were present.
Charli and Daniel announced their engagement in November 2023 with playful Instagram photos showing the couple embracing and a tea tray with the engagement ring displayed. Charli confirmed the news with her trademark humour, writing: “charli xcx and george daniel f---ing for life!!!”
