Reports claiming that senior politician and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has been appointed chairman of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation have been categorically dismissed as unfounded.
Federation officials clarified that the body has no such position as chairman, nor has Chaudhry Shujaat accepted any official role within the organization.
A delegation of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation, led by President Tariq Hassan and Secretary Sohail Anwar, recently met Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and briefed him on the federation’s activities and achievements.
The officials specifically apprised Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of the federation's financial matters and formally requested his patronage to help promote and sustain the sport across the country.
In a significant gesture of support, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain congratulated the federation and its athletes on their recent success of winning five gold medals in an international competition.
To celebrate this achievement, he personally invited the gold medal-winning bodybuilders to a dinner.
The meeting also served to quash circulating rumors regarding Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain's role within the organization.
It was explicitly clarified that reports of him becoming the chairman of the Bodybuilding Federation are entirely baseless and without merit.
The federation stated that no such chairman position exists within its structure, and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has not accepted any formal post.
The former Prime Minister has a long history of supporting sports and aiding athletes without holding any official titles, continuing his tradition of public and community service.
