Sikhs throng Kartarpur to attend Baba Guru Nanak death anniversary events

Sikh devotees from Pakistan and abroad continue to pour in at Kartarpur near Narowal as three-day functions being held in connection with the 487th death anniversary of Bara Guru Nanak continue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Thousands of devotees will stay at Kartarpur for three days.

The government of Pakistan has made arrangements for the residence, food, medical and transport of devotees. 

Foolproof security arrangements have also been put in place for the purpose.

Gurū Nānak (15 April 1469 – 22 September 1539), also known as Baba Nanak (Father Nanak), was a spiritual teacher, mystic and poet, who is regarded as the founder of Sikhism and is the first of the ten Sikh Gurus.
