Jammat-e-Islami Pakistan emir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on Sunday said that the system of oppression will not last, while expressing his gratitude to the people of Hyderabad who welcomed him on Railway Station, reported 24NewsHD TV.
He said that JI has launched this movement for the rights of the people, clarifying that they have no personal or party-specific agenda.
“The government's team comes for negotiations, yet they have nothing to offer the public; the Islamabad March is not the ultimate destination, securing the people's rights is the goal,” he said.
He said that the hike in petrol prices included a Rs 135 levy. If conditions in the global market improve, the price of petrol will drop by Rs 200 rupees.
Moreover, he expressed that the levy has no connection to global petrol prices, saying, “These people are aligned with the mafias; they rob the pockets of the poor and middle class. They cannot give up their private jets, the bureaucracy enjoys immense privileges, and the economic crisis is not caused by the public, but by the extravagance of the rulers.”
Hafiz further said, today JI proceeded to Rohri, but People from all over the country have started marching towards Islamabad, and it will continue until their demands are addressed.
The movement of JI for public rights has entered its 29th day in Hyderabad.
