Pakistan thrashed Thailand 9-0 in their Asian Games 2026 hockey opening match in Japan on Sunday, 24News HD TV reported.
Pakistan dominated the game from the start, putting Thailand’s defence under constant pressure and scoring nine goals without conceding any.
The emphatic victory gave Pakistan a strong start to their Group B campaign, which also features Malaysia, China, Oman, Uzbekistan and Thailand.
Pakistan will play their next group match against Uzbekistan on September 22, followed by matches against China on September 24, Malaysia on September 26 and Oman on September 28.
