Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has condemned the arrest of Aleema Khan, saying the move could further escalate tensions within the country, reported 24NewsHD TV.
In a message posted on X, Barrister Gohar said the PTI’s planned march would remain non-violent and political, adding that the party did not want any confrontation or violence.
He said the party’s objective was to pursue its constitutional and political demands through peaceful means.

Barrister Gohar said Aleema Khan’s arrest or detention under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) would contribute to increasing tensions and demanded her immediate release.
He urged the government to stop such measures, saying the PTI would announce its future course of action against the arrest.
Aleema Khan was arrested by police at her Lahore residence on Sunday under Section 3 of the MPO Ordinance, according to PTI sources. She and her two sisters had previously faced restrictions while attempting to meet PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. Her arrest came ahead of the party’s planned September 27 march.
In July, an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad declared Aleema Khan and her sister Uzma Khan proclaimed offenders in an October 4 protest case and issued perpetual arrest warrants against them.
