More than 15,000 police personnel from different districts of Punjab will reach Rawalpindi on Monday evening ahead of a planned political parties’ protest, officials said.
According to details, police forces will be accommodated in 48 educational institutions across Rawalpindi district.
The list includes five institutions in Gujar Khan, three in Kallar Syedan and 10 in Taxila.
Twenty-one educational institutions in Rawalpindi city and six near the Chakri Interchange have also been included in the list.
Police personnel are expected to arrive in Rawalpindi in the first phase to ensure security arrangements ahead of the protest.
A decision on suspending teaching activities and declaring holidays in the affected educational institutions will be taken on Monday.
Further police contingents are expected to arrive from various districts of Punjab as part of the security arrangements.
