Two minor brothers drowned in a rainwater-filled pit in Mangowal area of Gujrat district, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
Officials identified the deceased as five years old Abdul Rehman and three years old Muhammad Shafi.
According to eyewitnesses, the tragic incident occurred when the two brothers fell into the pit while playing nearby and could not be rescued in time.
Rescue teams reached the spot after being alerted and recovered the bodies from the water-filled pit.
The deaths plunged the area into mourning.
