The first Hajj flight from Quetta to Saudi Arabia departed on Tuesday, marking the beginning of this year’s pilgrimage operations from Balochistan.
Sheikh Jafar Mandokhel, the Governor of Balochistan, was present at Quetta International Airport to formally see off the pilgrims. The departure ceremony was attended by officials and family members of the pilgrims.
Before boarding, special congregational prayers were offered at the airport, seeking a safe and blessed journey for those embarking on the sacred pilgrimage.
According to officials, more than 300 pilgrims departed on the inaugural flight to the Holy Land. Overall, a total of 4,487 pilgrims from Balochistan are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia through 15 flights operating from Quetta International Airport.
The Hajj operation is being carried out under strict arrangements to facilitate pilgrims, ensuring smooth boarding, security, and travel procedures. Authorities stated that all necessary measures have been put in place to provide maximum assistance to the intending pilgrims during their journey.
