A new system of the registration of guards and security companies has been introduced in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Police officials have said that on the instructions of the Punjab IGP, it has been decided to link the registration of these companies and guards with the Safe City Authority.
According to the new arrangement, they have said, guards’ experience and other particulars will also become a part of the Safe City record.
The digitalization will make security system more effective.
The criminal record of security guards compiled by the police will also be made part of the record.
Action may also be taken against the guards and companies failing to get themselves registered.
It is obligatory on these companies to share their complete data with the safe city authorities.
