As many as 34 people were injured in a powerful explosion at a firecrackers godown located on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, earlier fire broke out in firecrackers warehouse and later a blast rocked the godown.
Over a dozen fire brigade vehicles were called in to extinguished the fire.
Rescue teams and heavy police contingent have reached the spot and started operation to rescued the workers.
The injured persons have been shifted to Civil and Jinnah Hospitals.
