Two persons lost their lives during an armed clash between two groups, Rind and Batahani, in Jacobabad over ‘honour’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The clash took place in Garhi Khero’s village Allah Rakhio. The dead persons were later identified as Barkat Ali and Mohammad Jan.
Initial reports said that the two groups clashed, after which firing took place, resulting in the deaths of two people.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the scene and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Earlier in June 2026, a clash between two rival groups belonging to the Mastoi community left a man dead and many others injured in the Bolan area of Jacobabad distric.
Officials at the Saddar police station of Jacobabad said that the groups had been at odds over a matrimonial issue for some time.
They said that one group turned violent at a gathering held to settle the issue. The groups fought a pitched battle using clubs, rocks and other lethal objects, they added.
Many people from the two sides suffered injuries during the clash and were taken to the Jacobabad Civil Hospital for treatment.
