A shopkeeper was killed after he objected to a group of men making noise in a street in Lahore’s Naseerabad area, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to Model Town police, the incident occurred on Thursday night when suspect Khurram alias Mani was making noise in the street with his friends.
The shopkeeper, identified as Aftab, asked them to stop, leading to an argument between the two sides.
Model Town SP Asad Ali said the suspect became enraged during the quarrel and allegedly attacked Aftab with a sharp-edged weapon, hitting him in the chest.
Aftab was critically injured and died on the way to the hospital while being shifted for treatment, the police officer said.
Naseerabad police arrested Khurram alias Mani and registered a case against him.
