Two dacoits were killed, and their two accomplices escaped from the scene during a police encounter in Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The police encounter took place on Agriculture Road of the industrial city.
According to the police, In-charge Post Chowki Larri Adda, Bilal Jutt, during a routine patrol, signaled four suspicious persons who were riding on a motorcycle to stop, but they suddenly started firing at the police team.
During a heavy exchange of fire, two dacoits received severe bullet wounds and died from the firing of their colleagues.
The dead dacoits were later identified as Shehbaz and Shoaib. Police said that the dead dacoits were involved in some serious criminal cases, including snatching.
Later, the police team shifted the dead bodies of the dacoits to the hospital’s mortuary. Police started a search operation to arrest the companions of the dacoits.
