Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Babar Hayat Tarar has said smog in Lahore has reduced considerably due to high winds and government measures.
Addressing a press conference at the office of Punjab Disaster Management Authority, he said that special attention was being paid to bringing in electronic public transport for schoolchildren and citizens in Lahore.
Permission will be granted while action against the elements causing smog will continue, the member said, adding that anti-smog operation will go on.
A total of Rs69.2 has been imposed on the kilns for causing smog, he said adding that environmental pollution will be controlled at all costs.
Moreover, inspections will keep on to ensure checks and balance, he said.
