Cricketer Abid Ali diagnosed with heart disease

Pakistan Test opener Abid Ali has been rushed to the hospital with chest and left shoulder pain during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match, reported 24NewsHD TV on Tuesday.

While batting in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, opener Abid Ali fell unwell after which he was admitted to the hospital for medical treatment where he is now out of danger.

Abid Ali, representing Central Punjab, was playing for 61 runs in the match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at UBL Ground when he retired injured and returned to the pavilion.

According to detail, Abid underwent an electrocardiogram (ECG) at the hospital and was said to be in stable condition.

Abid was diagnosed as a case of Acute Coronary Syndrome. He is under the care of a Consultant Cardiologist who is liaising with the PCB medical team regarding further treatment. He is currently stable.

PCB has requested to respect his and the family's privacy at this time.

As per the details, Abid is feeling better now. However, the decision on further treatment will be made after the test report comes out.
