The first information report (FIR) of the hand grenade attack on the residence of former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar in Lahore yesterday was registered on Thursday under terrorism-related and other sections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The FIR registered at CTD station on the complaint of Sajjad Hussain, a retired constable, read that unidentified persons hurled a grenade at the ex-CJP’s house at the behest of some other person.
Two policemen had sustained injuries in a hand grenade attack at the residence of former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar in Lahore on Wednesday night.
According to the preliminary probe, two motorcyclists hurled the grenade at the former top judge’s Garden Town residence and disappeared.
Senior police officers including CCPO Bilal Siddique reached the spot while IGP Dr Usman Anwar took notice and sought a report.
