As many as five persons died and eight others injured when a van carrying a wedding party met an accident in Dukki area of Balochistan on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The van overturned due to overspeeding. Local authorities and residents rushed to the post and helped retrieve the bodies and the injured from the wreckage of the bus.
Rescue and police personnel shifted the dead bodies to a hospital.
The deceased included women and children who died on the spot as the speeding van overturned and fell into a ditch near Nana Sahib of Tehsil Dukki.
According to details, Rescue sources said that the accident took place in Dukki area of Balochistan where an ill-fated van was returning from a wedding ceremony overturned.
The rescue 1122 emergency service said the accident was caused by a brake failure due to over-speeding.
