Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Sunday congratulated the Pakistan Under-19 team on defeating India in the final of the Asia Cup Under-19, terming the victory a result of excellent planning, teamwork and all-round performance.
In a statement, Mohsin Naqvi said the young Pakistani players played brilliantly against their arch-rivals and delivered a memorable win.
He specifically lauded Sameer Minhas for his commendable batting performance in the final, calling it a key factor in Pakistan’s victory.
The PCB chairman said the team’s collective display in batting, bowling and fielding reflected strong strategy and discipline, adding that the success was a proud moment for cricket fans across the country.
He noted that PCB’s continued investment in nurturing young talent was paying dividends, as evident from the Asia Cup triumph.
Later, in Abu Dhabi, Mohsin Naqvi met the players of the Pakistan Under-19 team and congratulated them in person on winning the Asia Cup. He praised their overall performance and appreciated the efforts of coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and the management staff for guiding the team effectively throughout the tournament.
Mohsin Naqvi also interacted with fans present at the ground, who congratulated him on the Under-19 team’s success. Fans described the victory as a heart-winning performance, saying the young Pakistani side had done wonders by defeating India in the final.
