The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday adjourned the hearing of cases against former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and former finance minister Ishaq Dar till March 9 and March 14, respectively, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A two-member ECP bench comprising Nisar Durrani and Shah Muhammad Jatoi conducted the hearing of the case. Lawyer for the former premier appeared before the bench and submitted a reply, whereas, lawyer for the complainants did not come to appear before the bench.
The complainants—Maleeka Bokhari and Aliya Hamza—demanded further time from the ECP bench on which the latter adjourned hearing of the case till March 9.
Also, a two-member ECP bench conducted hearing of a case for disqualification of PML-N’s Ishaq Dar. The lawyer for complainant Azhar Siddique appeared before the bench and pleaded that the case hearing be adjourned. At this, the ECP bench adjourned hearing of the case till March 14.
