Acclaimed Indian singer AR Rahman has won the public eye after his kind gesture of showing unwavering support to former wife Saira Banu during her emergency surgery in Los Angeles.
Saira’s legal counsel Vandana Shah has issued a statement on her behalf which reveals that a few days ago she was admitted to hospital due to emergency surgery and it was her close friends and ex-husband who supported her during the difficult time.
As per the statement by a lawyer, Saira has expressed appreciation for the precious efforts of those helping her in hardship and offered them heartfelt gratitude.
“A few days ago Mrs. Saira Rahman was hospitalized due to a medical emergency, and underwent surgery. During this challenging time, her sole focus is on a speedy recovery. She deeply appreciates the concern and support from those around her and requests prayers for her well-being from her numerous well-wishers and supporters. Mrs.Saira Rahman would also like to express her heartfelt gratitude to her friends from Los Angeles, Resul Pookutty and his wife Shadia, as well as Vandana Shah and Mr. Rahman, for their unwavering support during this difficult time. She is truly grateful for their kindness and encouragement. God bless,” the words of the statement read.
It is important to mention that AR Rahman and Saira Banu, have announced their separation after twenty-nine years of marriage for undisclosed reasons. They issued a joint statement released via same lawyer.
“After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira and her husband Mr. A R. Rahman have made the difficult decision to separate from each other. This decision comes after significant emotional strain in their relationship. Despite their deep love for each other, the couple has found that the tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between them, one that neither party feels able to bridge at this time", Shah stated.
