Opening batter Imamul Haq will depart for Dubai to take part in high-voltage Pakistan-India clash as he got a UAE visa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday, quoting its sources
Imamul Haq has arrived in Lahore from Karachi last night and he is likely to depart for Dubai via AirBlue flight PA-410 today (Friday) at 1:00 pm.
Imamul Haq was included in the national cricket squad in place of injured opener Fakhar Zaman.
Pakistan will play their second match of ICC Champions Trophy tournament against India on February 23 in Dubai.
The Pakistani cricket team will participate in a training session today in Dubai.
Fakhar Zaman sustained the injury while fielding during Pakistan’s match against New Zealand in Karachi on Wednesday. The left-hander fell awkwardly in the opening over of the game and had to leave the field for medical evaluation.
Although he made a brief return, he soon exited again, raising concerns about his fitness.
Subsequent scans confirmed an oblique tear, leading to his withdrawal from the tournament just ahead of Pakistan's crucial encounter against India on February 23 in Dubai.
