The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday dismissed a petition filed by former wife of late TV anchor Amir Liaquat Hussain seeking registration of a murder case over the former lawmaker’s death, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In its verdict, the SHC ruled that Dania Shah is already remarried and “we don’t want to exhume his body from grave”.

In her petition, Dania Shah stated that she was married to Amir Liaquat Hussain on February 5, 2022. She said that she went to Lodhran to meet her parents on April 24, 2022.

On June 9, 2022 she came to know about the death of Amir Liaquat Hussain.

Dania Shah further revealed that Mumtaz, Ali Javed, Saquib and other house workers were not happy over her marriage with Amir Liaquat Hussain.

She appealed the court to register a murder case against these workers.

The court after hearing the arguments of both sides rejected the petition.
