Three persons died on the spot when a truck loaded with crushed stones fell on their house located in Basti Gulabi Railway Crossing in Qadirpuran near Multan early Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Eyewitnesses and rescue personnel said that the incident took place while the truck was being unloaded in Mouza Taataypur.
During unloading the truck lost balance and fell on a house resulting in death of three inhabitants who were asleep in a room.
Rescue 1122 sources said that the roof of the house was built with wood and girder. Two persons who were also sleeping in the house remained unhurt.
After receiving the report, Rescue 1122 team along with local police reached the spot and recovered the bodies from the debris of the house.
The dead persons were later identified as Fatima who was 15 years old, Muzammil Aslam 17 and their 40-year-old father Mohammad Aslam.
Rescue 1122 team shifted the dead bodies to Police Station Qadirpuran for necessary legal proceedings and then transferred them to Nishtar Hospital.
Further investigation was underway.
