A new global survey by Gallup International Association has revealed that 61 percent of respondents across 58 countries hold an unfavorable view of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to the findings, the overall percentage of people expressing dislike for Netanyahu has increased by 20 percent compared to 2019, indicating a notable shift in international public opinion.
The survey, which included citizens from the United States, Europe, and other regions, found widespread criticism of the Israeli premier’s policies, particularly regarding his government’s actions toward Palestinians.
Many respondents cited alleged humanitarian concerns and the impact of the ongoing conflict as key reasons behind their negative perception.
Iran recorded the highest level of disapproval, with 98 percent of respondents expressing an unfavorable opinion of Netanyahu. European countries also showed elevated levels of dissatisfaction.
In the United Kingdom, 52 percent of respondents voiced disapproval, while 42 percent in the United States expressed negative views.
In Pakistan, 49 percent of participants described the Israeli prime minister as the most disliked global personality.
Conversely, the survey indicated comparatively stronger support for Netanyahu in Azerbaijan, Kenya, and India.
In both Kenya and Azerbaijan, 58 percent of respondents expressed favorable views, while in India, 50 percent indicated support for the Israeli leader.
